6) MAC/USCRTF (John Brandt)
There is no news to report from the United States Coral Reef Task Force.

News from MAC is the release of a briefing on the progress of the Cyanide Detection Test as it relates to certification. This brief can be viewed on the MASNA website. I was interviewed for an article about reef conservation, aquarium industry reform, MAC, marine hobbyists, it was related to the upcoming release of the Disney-Pixar film, "Finding Nemo." This film will portray a clownfish who is caught from the sea and taken to be kept in an aquarium. Nemo has some pretty nasty things to say about being kept in a tank, so it is newsworthy in that respect. Expect lots of kids to want their own little Nemo!

7) AMDA (Steve Robinson)

8) MACNA XV (Kelly Jedlicki)
Still waiting on the IRS. Dealing with a disgruntled hobbyist who invited a speaker without consulting or asking LMAS. He is not and has never been a member nor ever planned a MACNA. He HAS been a MACNA supporter, but not ever involved in the planning or organizing. He never approached us until after all the plans for the speaker had been made. He assumes that we will cancel or rearrange speakers to fit his speaker in.

9) Vice President & Director of Fundraising/Scholarship (Tom Walsh)
I got the donations; don't know how the raffle will work! I think that's what we need to discuss. Ideas, anyone? We solicited items for MASANA to auction off and had a good number of responses.
