I received several emails from societies wanting to Host MACNA XVI. This is a good start off to the upcoming bidding process. I am also in the process of writing answers to some questions for an article being put into a magazine about MASNA/MACNA for FANCY publications. I have received a few emails I forwarded to Tom about donations but hopefully we will let him handle those.

4) Director of Public Relations/Membership (Lee Morey,)

We are up to 18 member clubs now. We also added another individual member bringing the total to 38 and added a new corporate sponsor!

I finished MAC news brief and would like your okay to distribute it.

I also exchanged emails with AMDA President Steve Robinson. AMDA is setting up fund to purchase netting. It would be good if we could support the cause. To be published in the newsletter.

5) MAC/USCRTF (John Brandt)

Well I've been quite busy preparing for my trips. I will be very busy in the Philippines... but there will be plenty of time for great diving ;) I'll be taking some netting with me as well, provided by Mike Kirda to be given specifically to two collectors he knows. I will meet Marivi and Lolita and Ferdinand, Peter Scott and Lino Alvarez, some names you may have heard of. There is no real interesting news to report other than what is coming up.

6) MACNA XV (Kelly Jedlicki, VP LMAS,)

We should have a logo within a week. Scott Michael has been working with me on a logo. We have added a few more registrations

7) Newsletter Editor (Sandy Shoup)

Deadline is February 15. I have two articles so far plus one club news. Please when you send club news, can you include full club name? I don't know them all and have a hard time keeping them clear.

New Business:

Moved by Lee Morey, seconded by Jennifer Myerscough to add Steve Robinson as a Liaison. Carried Steve spoke to us about the netting drive for divers in the Phillipines. Details are on AMDA’s website and will be posted in the newsletter.

New members: Boston Reefers Society (Marvin Parramore & Steve)

Thanks for letting us join in on the fun. First of all I'd like to say that the Boston Reefers Society is very excited to have joined MASNA and we look forward to being an active member in the society and meeting some of you at Louisville.

Motion by Jenn seconded by Nancy to adjourn to round-table discussion at 10:33 PM Carried.
